IST Innovative Scan Technologies GmbH is a developer of measuring instruments for optical analysis of the size and shape of natural and industrial fibers and particles.

The FibreShape measuring system enables the determination of the length and width distribution of the fibres and other shape factors. Examples of fibres are hemp, flax and wood fibres but also recycled carbon and glass fibres. The determination of fibres is used e.g. in the textile, wind power, wood and other composite material industries. The classification of the fibres provides important data for the further processing of the fibres.
