CycleTex BW focuses on an action plan that helps the involved stakeholders to transform the mentioned challenges into opportunities. For the journey "From Linear to Circular," specific action areas and measures are needed to translate the ambitious project into targeted and binding actions.

Through the action plan, AFBW organizes all steps for the transformation into a Circular Economy – bottom-up and with numerous best practice implementations. CycleTex BW concentrates on four action areas:

Inventory & Technology

  • Analysis of textile material and waste flows from manufacturing companies in the Greater Southern Germany-Austria-Switzerland-France region
  • Targeted technological advancement of processes (e.g., collection and sorting process, chemical & mechanical recycling) within textile recycling
  • Development of industrial solutions for fiber separation and processing
  • Trend analysis of existing recycling technologies

Network & Cooperation

  • Continuous networking and cross-sectoral exchange of all stakeholders involved in the value chain
